Digital License – Double Arch

Although Arches National Park is most famous for its collection of over 2,000 arches such as the impressive Delicate Arch, Double Arch, the delicate Landscape Arch, and the Windows, the park is also home to a diverse range of other stunning rock formations like Park Avenue, The Courthouse Towers, Three Gossips, and Balanced Rock.

Double Arch is found in the Windows area of the park, and it’s named after its two arches that share the same stone as a foundation for both of their outer legs. The formation of Double Arch was a result of downward water erosion from the top of the sandstone instead of side-to-side water erosion.

Location: Arches National Park; Moab, Utah.
